I love Prarthana’s smart scheduling, she knows where to travel on a certain week with her top-150 ranking that gets her into MD. Hope she stays in North America to play the upcoming ITFs.

I talked to her and she was planning to go back to India for now.

So don't think she is planing to play any other ITF tournaments here anytime soon.

Prarthana is playing the Tianjin WTA this week with American Jacqueline Cako and the pair has won their first round doubles match.

At $750K Tianjin Open, China

[R1] Jacqueline CAKO/ Prarthana THOMBARE (USA/IND) 7-5 6-3 [WC] Hanyu GUO/ Lin ZHU (CHN/CHN)

With that win, Prarthana jumps up to #131 (6 spots below her best ranking), but the pair might face 2nd seeds Dabrowski/Xu next in the QF. I wish she somehow finds some multiple challenger wins like Jeevan is doing to climb up to top-100.

Prarthana's poor choice of tournaments and poor results continue.

At the Istanbul WTA, Turkey:

R1 Prarthana Thombare/Eva Wacanno (NED) 2-6 2-6 Andrea Mitu (ROU) /Alexandra Panova (RUS)

She also lost in the first round of doubles at the Lugano WTA, a couple of weeks ago. She should either find a regular doubles partner or choose some Challenger level tournaments to build some momentum before attempting at the WTA level.
