Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
No luck for Kanika. She again lost in the SF.
At $15K ITF Women's Tennis Tournament 2017, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
[SF] Kanika Vaidya (IND, 898) l. Arlinda Rushiti (SUI,898) 46 67(3)
Still, these back to back semi finals will help lift Kanika's confidence and hope she will get better and better now.

Whew! I finally got through. Now I can finally log in.
I also posted one reply with my temporary account. Still it must be waiting for moderator's approval.
How come their rankings are the same?

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Maybe same number of points in same number of tournaments. For people of low ranks, maybe they played fewer tournaments or got points from fewer tournaments. So the likelihood of them having the same number of points is higher?

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Yes, Kanika and Rushiti ( as also 1 more player) have 13 points from 6 tournaments. This occurence become more and more common as we go down in the rankings. There are some 80 or so players ranked 1211 which is the lowest WTA ranking.

Excellent upset of the 21 year old top seed, who has a career high ranking of 351 from two years ago.
