Kanika is the hardest hitter of the tennis ball among current Indian players. She has the biggest serve. Her first serve is a little terror. She can win these 10K futures & 25K ITF challengers right now where a bunch of other indian women are struggling. waiting for her return.

Bad first round loss for Kanika this week.

At $10K ITF Women,Jakarta

Rishika Sunkara and Asmita Eshwarmurthi also played here. They won the first round and lost in second.

Kanika apparently has been nursing an injury for the past six months and has only resumed practicing and training for the past two weeks. She should be back playing properly on the circuit soon.

Kanika won 3 consecutive Futures doubles titles at Sharm-el Sheikh, following a runner-up finish at the Aurangabad Futures. This has taken her to a career-high of 578 in the live doubles rankings.

Kanika had an easy win over a WC opponent to move to the 2nd round. She also moved to the quarters in doubles with a win over fellow Indian Tanisha. In the other match, Sitara lost in the first round after qualifying into the main draw
