Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Yes, this is so much easier draw than same level event in neighbouring Thailand.
It gets slightly more tougher now though.
At $10K ITF Women, Tarakan, Indonesia
[SF] (5) Kanika VAIDYA (IND,975) vs. (2) Haruka KAJI (JPN,744)

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Judging from her performances over the past year and a half, Kanika should win the SF!

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
She has graduated from Columbia University in NY, and is now trying to see how far she can go as a tennis pro. She has prepared well for this stage of her life, so let's enjoy the early stages of her progress.

This is what you said three years ago:
Saniapower wrote:Kanika is the hardest hitter of the tennis ball among current Indian players. She has the biggest serve. Her first serve is a little terror. She can win these 10K futures & 25K ITF challengers right now where a bunch of other indian women are struggling. waiting for her return.

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
That return was too late. Study was her topmost priority. I'm saying for her good. I've a feeling she will not succeed. I hope she proves me wrong.

Gosh, PKB remembers everything people say here! Well, at least enough to search and find something from 3 years ago!

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Kanika apparently has been nursing an injury for the past six months and has only resumed practicing and training for the past two weeks. She should be back playing properly on the circuit soon.

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Clerici had reached the final of a futures here in June where she lost to Pranjala in 3 close sets. So, that is a good domimant win by Kanika over here.
