Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Decent week, especially in singles, for Kanika -- with a couple of nice wins over good European opponents.

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Wow, that is indeed a good win over a 23 year old who was ranked as high as 178 three years ago (and was a junior #4).

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
This is not the first time I saw this name, but each time I get excited (I read it as Aravinda Rushitha or something like that) thinking it's an NRI.

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Yes, this girl Rushiti has played a few Indian players this year in Egypt. She beat Zeel in a 3 setter in April, lost to Pranjala in 3 sets in July and beat Kanika in staight sets in July. So, she is a good player. But, I think Kanika has run into higher level of form this week and will beat Rushiti.

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Sounded like an Italian-origin name to me. But, she played Fed Cup for Kosovo before. Now, she is representing Switzerland!

Re: Kanika Vaidya thread
Another good run to the SF in singles for a second consecutive week for Kanika. Her next opponent shares exactly the same ranking (898) and the same Birthday (27th March) but is 4 years younger than Kanika. Time to avenge the previous close loss!
