Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
Head to head Prajnesh and Hugo are 1-1 but those matches were in 2015 and 2018. On current form, in fact I would put Hugo as slight favorite, something like 55-45 at least.

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
Rankings are somewhat misleading right now for many players. Current form of Prajnesh and Sumit in particular is much worse then warrented by their rankings.
Prajnesh reached 2 challenger semi finals in March but after that has only 1 QF. While since June, Hugo has reached 2 challenger SF and won a 25K futures title. So, on current form Hugo was the favourite and the results turned out to be as per my expectations.
At St. Tropez Challenger, France ( Hard)
[R1] (4) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,156) l. Hugo Grenier (FRA,241) 57 36

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
DC also looks doubtfull, and we are left with Saki who hasn't touched his raquet for 6 months, considering the options left infact Rohan would be a better choice
Hope can convince Mukund and in hindsight, Sid would have been better atleast more match fit than Saki.

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
Prajnesh is playing in the Columbus challenger and is seeded 4th but starts with a tough R1 match against 23yo qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic (who beat this year’s 6-times Challenger title winner Benjamin Bonzi at the USO QR2).

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
Good job, PG. Hey, his career took off after that tremendous DC win against China to save us, so maybe this Davis Cup is what restarts things for him? I hope so!

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
Yes, really good win for Prajnesh. Kovacevic made the final qualfiying round of US open and is in good form.
At Tennis Ohio Championships, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Hard)
[R1] Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,167) d. (Q) Alekander Kovacevic (USA,364) 36 63 75
Next,
[R2] Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,167) vs. Mikael Torpegaard (DEN,226)
Torpegaard made the main draw of Australian open early this year but since then his form has fallen away. Hope Prajnesh prevails here.

Re: Prajnesh Gunneswaran thread
No Chance for Prajnesh as the Dane proved too good for him.
