PKB, I wouldn't call this pre-mature. I think she has done enough to deserve a thread of her own and she's definitely a player to watch out for....

I think this is the best performance by a 13 yr old indian girl, after sania mirza. Its too early to put her in the same bracket as sania, but you never know. Now if this girl does not get support from AITA OR sports ministry , that will be too bad.

Pranjala will be playing in her 4th ITF of the year in Malaysia's 20th Sarawak Chief Minister's Cup (II) , a Grade 3 event. Good luck

Pranjala is being supported by GVK , the same group which supported Sania in her early days. So, she should have less worries on this front as long as she continues to progress.

Thats a fantastic news. Hatsoff to GVK. I wish Megha, Isha, Ankita and sana, had got this support when they were growing up. We need businessmen like GVK and politicians like Naidu ,only then we can produce champions.

In the first week of Pranjala lost to the third seed in the second round.

But, in the second week Pranjala has upset the third & sixth seeds to make it to the SF.

Very impressive stuff from 13-year-old Pranjala to have beaten world #351 and 356 in the second Grade 4 event in the Philippines. Keep it up, girl!!

Last week, it was the SF of a Grade-4 in the Philippines, this week she is already in a Grade-4 SF in Mumbai (CCI):

She will be seeded in her next Grade-4 tournament for sure...! In the QF, the 13-year-old who is the under-18 junior national champion beat the national under-16 champion (who is 15).

This week, Pranjala is also in the doubles SF.
