From here social media updates, she’s back to India and hasn’t entered any of the US ITF challengers for the month of October. I don’t think she’s going to come all the way to US again just for one tournament.

Ankita will be back on the WTA circuit next week starting with the Tenerife WTA 250, where she will be in the doubles main draw with Rosalie Van der Hoek. After that, she’s seen in the singles alt list (3 spots out of Q draw) at the Courmayeur WTA in Italy.

Ankita is only 2 spots away from making the qualifying draw at the Tenerife WTA event, that commences this weekend. With Hsieh still in Indian wells (who is one of the Q entrants at Tenerife), Ankita just needs one more withdrawal to get a chance to play singles for the week. I hope she gets in and wins some matches.

Ankita is in! She will play Mandy Minella in the first round of qualies.

Mandy is 35 years old and a mother of 2 kids, so she’s pretty much in the last phase of her professional career, although she just defeated top-100 player Gracheva at the Lux Open a few weeks ago. I expect Ankita to give her a tough fight.

Ankita is seeded 12, and #217 Minella is unseeded in the qualifiers. So obviously many more slots opened up in the end. Minella did well on home soil in Luxembourg, but Ankita should be the favourite to win Q1. Her potential Q2 opponent is Dalma Galfi (HUN, 126) or another Hungarian player. Good luck to Ankita!

Didn’t expect Ankita to win but did expect a closer match. Besides the doubles title early in the year, it appears Ankita took a step back this year, especially in singles.

Finally Ankita has somewhat of an easier first round matchup at her next WTA tournament.

Certainly, Ankita's singles performances have been on a bit of downswing in last few months.

There must have been a slew of withdrawals since the top seed has been replaced by 10th seed Yastremska and Ankita is also featured in the main draw, facing Alison Riske in the first round. I hope she makes it count.
