Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Well, at least he got a few points this week. But is he going to have some surgery or something, to call it the end of the year already? Or just three months rest?

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
I do not think his injury would be that serious to have a surgery. I mean he still played fairly well in the last 3-4 weeks playing with injury. Probably a couple of months rest will get him back to recover. And then he probably can a have month's pre-season training. Just a guess.
Yes, good that by these points this week, he has almost ensured entry into AO qualies which would have been touch and go without this week's points.

Sibiu (Romania) Challenger (clay)
[SF] 1-Stefano Travaglia (ITA, 97) d. 8-Sumit Nagal (IND, 212) 64 06 60
74 points to 70, so a pretty close match, despite the final set bagel.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Hopefully Sumit and his team will worked on his serve in pre-season ... Good performance in this last tournament, though weird scoreline in his loss.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Per his Insta post, Sumit had some kind of a hip procedure at a hospital. Wishing him a full recovery for next year!
Sumit is still young enough that he could have 4-5 years of his prime after coming back from this procedure....

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Ram,Prajnesh, Yuki all appear in AO quali list, but Sumit's name is missing , and like he skipped Wimbledon is going to miss the first GS of the year and probably going to wait for the first clay court tournament, or might even sit out for 3 more months and start his campaign with a PR so that his ranking is not affected and remains the same.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
I recall seeing something recently on twitter or FB (?) where he was shown in the gym rehabbing away.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Yes, he has been exercising and also started hitting on courts at Nensel Academy in Germany. I think he will get back to tournament play in April as it will also give him six months break which is necessary to get a protected ranking which will give him some cushion for next 9 months after that.
