Re: Sumit Nagal thread
If he is physically fully fit, I doubt getting more mid-season rest or training is suddenly going to fix what is ailing him. The only way to get back into form is to play and then conquer your demons.

I even told him that if he is not fit, Idk what would happen and also said it can go either way. Look at my previous analysis man!!!

Sumit Nagal vs Hugo Gaston on the Bordeaux Challenger 175 Round 1. Tough one, especially since it's in France.. Both of them look in bad touch. Hopefully, we will see a better performance from Nagal!!

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
Sumit lost 3-6 4-6 against Hugo Grenier (FRA,78). I watched the first set and Sumit was playing decently but Grenier had more firepower and Sumit just making few more errors than what he was doing at the same time last year. I think he can turn it around if he gets some wins and some confidence with it. Hope he does it soon.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
What a poor clay season for him. Luckily the clay season continues all round the year. So he can recover, if fit. Just needs a few good tournaments to get back in top 100.
Grass season he might play for money or may skip if he doesn’t get direct entry anywhere.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
In grass season, I think he will only play Wimbledon qualies to pick up prize money. Before that he has big 165 points to defend in first 2 weeks ofJune. If he fails to win much till than, he may fall all the way down to close or even outside top 300 by mid June.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
That will force him to play a few 50k challengers …. Not bad now… lest he still has belief. In that case he plays quailes of few 150k type challengers should one be there.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
What a performance from Sumit!! One of the best matches Sumit has played this year!!
Sumit Nagal (170) def Mitchell Krueger (140) 6-1 6-1
Hopefully, this consistency will be there for all the matches he plays.
Next up against Jurij Rodionov (225) on Thursday!! Looking good for Indian Tennis

Sumit started with a decent win.
At Heilbronn Challenger 100, Germany (Clay)
[R1] (7) Sumit Nagal (IND,170) d. (WC) Tom Gentzsch (GER,445) 61 64
Next,
[R2] (7) Sumit Nagal (IND,170) vs. Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez (MEX,266)
Rodrigo is a talented 20 year old who was junior world #1 in 2023 in his last year as junior. But, his progress as pro seems a little slow.
