Rutuja will be playing a couple of ITFs in Australia starting next week. First one is a $25K in Cairns where she is in the MD and the next is a $60K in Darwin where she will have to qualify.

Rutuja won her first $60K CH doubles title.

Currently ranked 311 in the doubles charts, this title will take her into top-200. She continues her Aussie trip at Brisbane next week.

I don't think she will make it to top 200 with this title. Somewhere around 230, I think.

Still, she is getting some good results in doubles and singles this year.

Yes, at age 22, Rutuja is near her career-high of 374 in singles and around 230 in doubles. She has had a very fruitful year indeed (rising from a 2017 year-end ranking of 600 in singles and 645 in doubles) after her four years at Texas A&M.

A great win for Rutuja. She was down 3-5 in the decider and won 4 games in a row to upset the 4th seed. Now she has to be consistent and win a few more rounds.

That is an excellent win by Rutuja. She is beginning to pull off these wins over players well inside top 300 quite a few times now indicating an upsurge in her level of play. This may her best win so far as the Korean was ranked 120 only a little more than a year back.
