Haha... His name always sounded mathematical to me. Because of the famous Runge-Kutta method in mathematics, I suppose.

For Jeevan's results with Rungkat and then Balaji for the last few weeks, see the European Challengers thread (Lisbon, Parma), the Sriram Balaji thread (Ambato, Lima 2 and Quayaqil) and the N.American Hardcourts thread (Knoxville and Champaign).

This week at the Challenger 100 in Temuco, Chile (Hard):

[R1] (2) Luis David Martinez (VEN)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) vs Mateus Alves (BRA)/ Alafia Ayeni (USA)

Jeevan has been consistent in getting to the SFs (but not advancing after two wins) in 7 challengers in a row, since the Braga final with Rungkat. Hope that changes to a final with the new partner, but that is always tough.

[QF] (2) Luis David Martinez (VEN)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) d. (WC) Nicolas Bruna (BRA)/ Joao Domingues (BRA), 61 64
so
[SF] (2) Luis David Martinez (VEN)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) vs (3) Boris Arias (BOL)/ Federico Zeballos (BOL), Friday

That is the 8th semifinal in a row by Jeevan. Can he avoid an 8th consecutive SF loss, though? Go Jeevan.

Jeevan lost in the final.

At the Challenger 100 in Temuco, Chile (Hard):

[F] (2) Luis David Martinez (VEN)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) l. (1) Guido Andreozzi (ARG)/ Guillermo Duran (ARG) 46 26

Still a very good year for Jeevan. 2 titles, 2 finals and as many as 13 semi finals at challenger level. He started the year being ranked 191 and will be ranked 114 this Monday. He will hope to get back to top 80 and into grand slam main draws next year.

Can we have a separate thread for BalaJee?

They just earned their first MD direct acceptance at an ATP event at the Marseille Open (250 event).

Seems we might evidence a new team of Jeevan/Arjun Kadhe in the new year. They have entered the Hong Kong ATP 250 but are 6 spots out of the direct main draw acceptance list. I assume they will end up signing up at Nonthaburi CH 75 if they fail to get in here. Ramkumar and Saketh are also in the alternates list at HK.

I had read in an article that Jeevan said that he will partner Arjun at least at the start of the year. Most likely pairs of Jeevan-Arjun, RamK-Saketh will play in Thailand challengers.

Anirudh and VSP may try their way to Australian open, with a combined ranking of 170 it will be tough to get in but they may try to get in as alternates as Jeevan-Bala did in 3 slams last year.

Yuki and Bala should make it to Australian open main draw with the partners they choose to play with similar ranking.
