Saketh, who was top seed in doubles with a Finnish partner, lost the doubles final 46 46 to the same guy who beat him in singles (and a Brit partner); the winning pair was seeded fourth.

Good to see Saki get a few matches under his belt albeit in doubles. Hopefully, we will start seeing an uptick in his singles performances in the future.

Saketh has definitely revived his doubles career in the past half year, with 2 Challenger doubles titles -- at Bangalore 1 with Ramkumar, and Salinas (Ecuador) with Yuki -- and four Futures doubles titles (3 with Yuki, 1 with Vishnu). Consequently, his doubles ranking has jumped back up to 180.
He had also won a couple of Futures doubles titles in March-April last year (in Indore and New Delhi) but those are not part of his points total any more.

^^^ Saketh has been doing terrific with Yuki this year, and has been in the top-100 of doubles for the last 3 weeks. With the first round win at ATP Seoul with Yuki, he will move up a to career high inside #95... See the scores of the Seoul doubles matches in the Yuki thread.

We should start a thread for Yuki-Saki doubles team... Let me just arbitrarily set one more ATP level win as the criterion for a thread to be started for them :)

I was thinking about opening a thread for them but just saw they will be playing on ATP tour only this week as of now and will get back to challengers in Korea for next 3 weeks where few other Indians like Arjun and Mukund will be there. So, we will discuss that Asian challengers or specific Korean challengers thread. So, why to open a thread only for 1 week. But, as you said we may do so if they go deeper this week as a mark of respect. ;)

Duplicating the post for now... Feel free to merge these into the Yuki/Saki thread when it is created... :D

Yuki/Saki won in straight sets to reach the Semis in their first ATP appearance....

[QF] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Saketh Myneni (IND) d. (3) Diego Hidalgo (ECU)/ Cristian Rodriguez (COL) 63 64

With this win, Yuki is upto 102 and Saki upto 89 in the live rankings... Give us one more... :D

Haven’t see Saketh in action for a while. Anyone know why he’s been off the tour for so long? Thanks.
