Re: Karunuday Singh thread
Haadin plays 1106 ranked Jonathan Gray that received a SE from last week's SF result(losing in 3 to top seed Klein). Tough match, nevertheless.

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
Both lost in second round although KU put up a very good fight against Ti Chen.
At $15K Indonesia F6 Futures, Jakarta
[R2] Karunuday SINGH (IND,859) l. (2) Ti CHEN (TPE,255) 63 67(5) 26
[R2] Haadin BAVA (IND,860) l. Jonathan GRAY (GBR,1160) 36 36
I think KU is beginning to get to top 500 level form now and should get there soon.

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
KU wins in straight sets 2 & 4 to move into the qtrs where he will meet 1097 ranked Japanese MOCHIZUKI, Yuki.
Looks well set to win this leg and earn 18 points and two more weeks of Futures left in HKG and had he stayed here looked possibly he could earned more and get into 400-500 range.
But he is playing only this week here and has taken a a tough decision to play 25k Futures in China where it wont be easy to bucket points as in a weak field like HongKong , In China the list is headed by likes of Zhe Li , Prajnesh .
Lost an opportunity to rise in the rankings.

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
Yeah jinxed him ...
But that was a very strange loss , after taking the first set , losing the next two on 1 & 0 was puzzling .
But still he should have stayed in Hong Kong for remainder of two weeks , as Now Di Wu too has also joined the second leg in addition to Zhe Li & Pragnesh.

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
Poor loss, suggesting a serious lack of endurance (the one feature players usually pick up at US colleges).

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
We could have seen more of these results in singles and doubles in the coming weeks had it not been for his idiotic and immature decision.
First of he had no business to travel to China when you are making a comeback to get back to a decent level and instead he should have rather stayed in Hong Kong to compete with a lower level of competition and where he had a good chance to resurrect his career.
But instead he flies to Kunshan – China , Now to reach Kunshan from Hongkong and after changing planes , it takes about 7 hours and just for comparison Hong Kong to New Delhi takes 5 hours , so here just to face a much higher level competition he travels to a distance which is much more than travelling back to his own house in Delhi.
Now comes the funnier part , after Kunshan he is scheduled to play in Shenzen ,and Shenzen is just half and hour away from HongKong ,
So from Kunshan to Shenzen will be another 7 hr journey he will have to make , and all of this points to aimless planning
If he really was keen to face DI WU , Zhe Li rather than lesser ranked players in Hongkong , he could have atleast stayed one more week in Hong Kong , garned sufficient points and than a week later make an half and hour journey across to Shenzen , rather than undertaking a half-witted decision of travelling a distance which is much more than travelling back to India.
And the way he is playing Singles , have no hopes on him and whatever little chance he had , he manages to loose with such brainless planning.

Re: Karunuday Singh thread
Have I heard this story before, or am I just day-dreaming ? A few years ago I used to pull my hair out and lose sleep over these things. Now, I have become a master at using breathing techniques to calm myself down. For, I have no hair left to pull
Good luck, KU!
