Huta Galung went on to win the title here. So, VSP was unlucky to draw a hot player in QF itself.

VSP plays $15K futures on grass in Frinton, Great Britain next week and the week after he surprisingly gets back on clay to play $15K+H futures in Kassel, Germany.

So, from clay to grass to back to clay for these 3 weeks for VSP.

Crazy Schedule... May be it is part of their training regime to see how he fares on different surfaces?

Looks like NVSP is the only Indian in Futures action this week. He's seeded 7th at Frinton and faces Brit Robbie Ridout(#1107) in R1.

It seems the switch from clay to grass for just 1 week does not work for VSP. There was a futures in Netherlands too this week (where he played last week). He should have continued there and then to Germany next week.

He is not playing doubles this week.

VSP was in SW19 for Wimbledon last week and has thus entered this week's ITF. So its kind of just a dummy schedule.

He started with a good comeback win.

At $15K(+H) Germany F7 Futures, Kassel (Clay)

[R1] (8) N. Vijay Sundar PRASHANTH (IND,382) d. Karim-Mohamed MAAMOUN (EGY,534) 26 61 63

Next,

[R2] (8) N. Vijay Sundar PRASHANTH (IND,382) vs. Duje KEKEZ (CRO,466)

This will be tougher one for VSP as Kekez has been in good form in futures circuit having won a title and reached 2 finals ( including last week) within last couple of months.

At $15K(+H) Germany F7 Futures, Kassel (Clay)

[SF] Aleksandar LAZOV (BUL) / Karim-Mohamed MAAMOUN (EGY) 4-6 7-6(3) [10-8] Jeevan NEDUNCHEZHIYAN (IND) / N. Vijay Sundar PRASHANTH (IND) [2]

That looks like the end of this European tour for VSP as he does not seem to have entered anywhere in the next 2-3 weeks. Not sure what his plans are next ? But, I hope he comes back and plays some easier tournaments in Asia which can propel his ranking towards top 300.

VSP is now only 3 out from next week's $75K Astana challenger in Kazakhstan with 2 special exempt spots to clear. Does he plan to play there especially if he gets into main draw ?
