Very good win. Clearly Vishnu too should become a doubles specialist.

Somewhat disappointing loss. Expected them to go deep after upset of top seeds in first round.

From winning the Nationals on Saturday, to facing world number 52 Jiri Vesely on Monday, life is quite the ride for Vishnu Vardhan. :D

Really, but happy to see that he is travelling to Uzbekistan.

Vesely is a really really erratic player and has motivation issues. If Vishnu is at his game, and can keep his focus, I think he has a decent shot at beating Vesely. :goodluck:

All the best to Vishnu, although this seems too sudden a jump for him. He should play $25K Futures and lower-level Challengers first.

Vishnu has won almost all his points in India during the past year. He has won just three Futures singles matches outside India during that time, one in Thailand and two in Zimbabwe. It would be good to see him win a few outside India too. He won one round at the Pune Challenger last year but otherwise hasn't done much at the Challenger level.

With a few withdrawals, Vishnu has got into the singles main draw at next week's $50K+H challenger in Zhangjiagang, China. Sasi is 6 out from main draw while VSP is further down in the alternates list. Vishnu will mostly play doubles here probably along with VSP.

Interview with Vishnu. He pretty much talks about everything here. Interesting anecdote with Somdev is the highlight!

I have moved ITD related posts to other thread which Vishnu had opened.

Btw, this week Vishnu is first time ranked within top 100 in doubles, being ranked #100. Balaji is at #109. They are getting close to being able to play on ATP tour events. Needs an improvement of 20 or so ranks for both and then they will be able to play ATP 250 tournaments.
