Clutch performance in the decider. Good performance by Divij. Berretini is in super hot form and is rising up the rankings so it augurs well for the Doubles specialists that they could win it in the end.

5th ATP Tour doubles title for Divij! Congratulations to him. He won 2 with Purav Raja (Columbia and Mexico), and one each with Scott Lipsky, Bopanna and now Zelenay. I hope this partnership lasts longer than the other winning pairings!

Wow, congrats Divij on hist fifth tile. This is the first time he has won multiple ATP world tour tiles in single season.
With only 45 points left to defend rest of the season, if he continues his form; he could soon get back to his highest rankings.

So Divij Sharan partners Samantha Murray in mixed doubles in the biggest tournament - life.

Best wishes to the couple for happiness and success.

Now if he partners Jamie Murray in doubles (just of tennis, not life  ) I can see the headlines "Sharan jeetne ke liye Murray".

:-) What is eek (assuming that is the eek emoji) about them partnering in life?

Just that double partnering in life would be an eek. That's all. Nothing more. If he had decided to.partner Jamie Murray in life, I'd be just as happy for him. Hope that clarifies things.

Yes. To an extent.

But, what is wrong/eeky with double partnering either (three-way-consensual, of course)?

You're making me think, my friend - and that's quite an accomplishment. So thinking about it, i guess nothing eeky really. People play doubles, mixed doubles and even singles at Grand Slams ... so why not, as long as all involved are good with it. More trophies to be had.

Divij lost in the first round in his first match of the year.

At $1.3M Qatar ExxonMobil Open,Doha

[R1] Divij Sharan (IND) / Artem Sitak (NZL) l. (4) Fabrice Martin (FRA) / Jeremy Chardy (FRA) 67(4) 26

Divij has now fallen outside top 50 in the latest ATP rankings with his last year's Pune ATP title points with Rohan falling off. So, he will have to get some points to stay in the reckoning for Tokyo Olympics along with Rohan. Not too many points to defend in next 2-3 months though.
