@prasen9 my thoughts exactly. I'm thinking that we will soon see the Yuki Bhambhri academy. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Or he could focus on doubles a bit more like his compatriot jack sock who is an incredible doubles player. Bops is aging and divij/Yuki can become useful in their own way. It will have to be ramk and the gunner to keep the singles flag flying for some more time.

Finally a news article on Yuki; although I expected more details. If he says by end of Oct, then it could mean he might skip Liuzhou and go for only three challengers in Shenzen, Pune and Bengaluru. He's also looking forward for the Davis Cup tie. The condition he has is scary and has troubled the likes of Nadal in the past. Nadal has had this issue since he was 27. I hope Yuki gets good treatment for this. He can take cue from Nadal on how to play despite the knee conditions and also from Federer on how to schedule your tour, play enough tournaments to earn the points and prize without hurting your body

Wow, his list of injuries keeps mounting and it seems like it spans from shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankles. In essence, he's had injuries in almost all significant joints and he is still one of the only professional tennis players who wears the tennis elbow brace consistently. I guess the abdomen/groin is the only area that hasn't been impacted yet.

Good luck on his comeback but given that a lot of these injuries are chronic, he may want to consider transitioning to playing doubles full time where the wear and tear is a lot less.

Due to this injury he is missing so many chances to play main draw ATP tournaments. He is just 1 out from main draw of Antwerp ATP next week. But, does not look like he will play there.

Yuki is back on the court after long injury break and playing the European Cup at Antwerp, Belgium ... In the fist round, he is facing similar ranked Spanish opponent, Roberto Carballes Baena.

Well, that is indeed a surprise. An article just appeared last week where Yuki says that he has just started hitting and will be ready by end October and here he is playing within few days. Hopefully he is ready to win a match here.

He has to earn 170-180 points to stay in top-100 before December and this is perhaps the last tournament he gets in before points start falling off. Not sure if finance has dictated the decision making since you get 6200 Euros for a first round appearance. If he wins, he can get 10k Euros and 10 extra points; else it's a good way to know how much match fit he is before he goes in for the next 3-4 challengers. Once again, there's an element of good luck here as he gets in the main draw and also a relatively easier opponent in this field.

Don't know what's going on his head. Around this time both Harsh and Somdev retired. Both saying the same thing. Time to move on.

Around this time ? I think Somdev and Harsh retired close to 30. Yuki is only 26. So, he still has at least 2-3 year before taking such an extreme decision.

Not age but the situation. Look at it. About a 2-3 years of struggle. Not able to play to your potential. Then they just gave up

Oh,ok. I just hope that Yuki has age on his side, he will give more time before taking such decision. Need to check but it looks like he gets injured every alternate year with a different injury. So, with that pattern next year would be better hopefully.
