This guy has performed consistently well the last couple of years. We gotta give him credit for doing his bit despite the absence of any support or media attention some others have been getting. I think he could still break into the top 300, if he continues to fight.

Vijay had tough first round win against player who is 950 rank below ...

Hopefully he will pull second round also.

Good start for Kannan and Bopanna in doubles.

Vijay Kannan is actually ranked #499 this week, although the tournament data still has his ranking from last week. He remains the India #4, marginally ahead of Vinod Sridhar (who has one point less than him and is ranked 507).

Wow everywhere we r praising our players ... But nothing better that this, hoping we will get chance everytime these guys r playing.

Nope, I have been looking for a whole day to find out what happened friday in Kuwait .. ATP made a mistake on Friday (probably the ITF supervisor's mistake?) and updated the singles and doubles results pdf with the thursday doubles scores! .. And ITF of course goes away for the weekend by friday noon in London and does not update anything till monday morning .. Moreover, the only local English newspaper, a fish-wrap called Kuwait Times does not know that a game called tennis exists!

We wait.

Yes ok, I saw it was a wrong list yeah. But I hope to hear something from Jasper Smits dad. He sometimes visits my site, so if I know the result I'll post it in this forum.
