Leander's career will be like a true normal curve. He played futures and then challengers and then ATP. Now, he is going back to challengers. I suspect until he is 50, he will remain a challenger level player. And, then he will play 15 years of futures and retire at 65. Like any other person in any other profession does.

Seriously, I have not seen a player who loves playing more than LP. Even when he is down to the non-glamorous challenger tour, he keeps going. He is our "Challenger Bunny" :-)

The Kings proved better pair than Lee and Miguel ... Lee and Miguel started well after convincingly winning the first set but they failed to keep momentum after that.

At $75 Charlottesville Challenger 2018, Virginia, USA

[QF] (1) Leander Paes (IND)/ Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela (MEX) l Darian King (BAR)/ Evan King (USA) 61 46 7-10

That is nothing but insane passion and pure love for Tennis. I can't think of any other world class athlete from across all sports who did what LP is currently doing.

It's pretty amazing to see. It is like he doesn't know what to do if he isn't playing. For a guy who has done quite a bit of other things like movies and product endorsements, knows people all over the place, and can play some politics and all that too, it doesn't make sense that he would feel that he will be bored if he doesn't play. It can't be for making money either, as he has made a fair bit and challenger tour for the doubles players is mostly a money-losing proposition too. It must be pure passion for tennis or something....
