My thoughts exactly. Hope not, though.

I don't think we should make any other deductions apart from the fact that Divij is taking the week off, and Leander/Purav are temporary partners.

Unless it is based on facts, there is no need for pure speculation. Hope that DiPu stick together as they have the prospect of being a legit ATP level doubles team.

Re: Leander Paes thread...
I guess I have lived long enough and observed doubles partners (from India) enough to get pessimistic when such things happen... Okay, I will go with everybody else and assume that all is well in our doubles world

Another chapter in the soap opera of Indian doubles!
Purav has indeed entered US Open with Leander. Divij is playing with Begemann of Germany

Okay, I am extremely mad at this split. What the hell is going on with these two guys.IndianTennisFan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 10:33 pm Another chapter in the soap opera of Indian doubles!

Can't they learn anything from Bhupathi-Paes multiple divorces in the past. Its not like they are 18-19 year old. These guys are grown ups. They were doing well. I can't believe that for such an important tournament Purav and Divij decide to split.
They seriously had a great chance for going deep into this year's US Open together and improve their ranking and make some good money. Now they run risk of losing in the first round, both these twos. I don't want this to happen but sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

Can't even laugh at this joke. I am pretty sure it won't take very long for both Divij and Purav to regret this split.

Although perhaps it is just a temporary change, since Leander isn't likely to extend his career too much longer.

Re: Leander Paes thread...
The interesting, slightly sad, aspect of this partnership is that Leander and Purav both play on the same side of the court.

Sad indeed. It looks like they took the decision after failing to defend their Los Cabos title as that was the last tournament they played together.IndianTennisFan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 10:33 pm Another chapter in the soap opera of Indian doubles!
