Oh, jay :D . I hope you meant unknown just as a team. Galdos is a top-100 doubles player and also played with Jeevan last month.

PaeSa won quite comfortably, 61 63.
In the QF, they play Peter Polansky and Steve Koslov.

LP's choice of partners seems pretty questionable. Sa, ranked 61 and aged 39, seems to be his pick for this year. Surely there were younger players who could have complemented him better! (Michael Venus, for instance).

What a mouthwatering Friday evening for a Indian Tennis fan as Leander plays his doubles followed by Ram' s match on the same court

Wishing for both of them to reach the finals ,don't recollect that ever happening on the American soil

Yes, that would be an interesting happenstance.

However, making a challenger finals in doubles is pretty average even by Indian standards where the Leander has won 8 Mens doubles GS titles (including the US Open) among 54 ATP tour level titles and I'm sure Mahesh and Rohan have also won ATP tour level or higher mens doubles titles in the US.

In singles, I don't recall too many Indians making challenger finals in the US although IIRC Leander (Binghamton) and Somdev (Knoxville) have won challenger titles in the US.

Leander won a ATP tournament at Newport called the Hall of Fame Open on grass. Sania won the Hyderabad Open and was runner-up at the Pattaya Open, Bank of West Classic, and Forest Hills.

Besides, Rajeev Ram is not Indian and does not represent India. He is quintessentially American, a product of the system here and has shown no interest in representing India. Nothing wrong with that. It is his choice, but, just saying that he is not a product of the Indian sports system.

Two things - perhaps Rajiv means Ramkumar Ramnathan's match on the same court and not Rajeev Ram's as you seem to have understood.
#2 - and what he means by this has probably not happened in the US tournament is that two different Indians making it to the singles and doubles finals in the same tournament.
