Re: Leander Paes thread...
Didn't LP have a competition on Instagram, or something similar, to pick a name for the team and he was giving away a prize?

And what was the result of the competition? I like LePu because you can say it in a very sophisticated way and sound elegantly French
Actually "Le Pur" would even have a meaning (the pure).

Re: Leander Paes thread...
"Le Pur" lost the second set 3-6, and were down 5-9 (in STB) staring down 4 match points. They managed to save 2 of them but lost it eventually at 7-10.
At $1M St. Petersburg Open 2017, Russia
[SF] Leander Paes (IND)/ Purav Raja (IND) l. (1) Julio Peralta (CHI) / Horacio Zeballos (ARG) 6-4, 3-6, [7-10]
Making a semi-final in just their 2nd tournament together is not bad at all, especially given their not so high ranking. It's time to show this consistency in the next few weeks and boost their rankings as high as possible before the start of new season. I see this combination clicking for more reasons than one. Lee is an awesome mentor (if he wants to), so Purav has everything to gain from this partnership. Lee, on the other hand, will be very motivated to get his rank high enough to kick-off another episode of high DC drama .

Re: Leander Paes thread...
Why am I not surprised? .
Kidding aside, even though you rake up quite a few discussions and often poke people to get more out of them, you always back your claims with reasonable data and detailed analysis, Prasen. I admire your analytical skills (and that of several others here in this forum)!

Re: Leander Paes thread...
Opps was just going to post it until I saw it has already been done ., very interesting and light hearted interview with some very poignant moments where in the early days at one time he had only 20 Francs in the pocket and could not afford a hotel room and instead spent the night in the tournament locker room.
