That's a very impressive win for 16 year old Terence Das, over the world #398, who has a career high ranking of 283.

Excellent win by 16 old Terence Das of whom nothing much was know until a few months back when all of a sudden he started playing futures in Portugal and qualified thru one of them. He never played ITF juniors and also did not hear anything about him in AITA junior circuit. So, pleasantly surprised to see him do so well at an early age. Lets see how he continued to do.

It is amazing to see our progress as a tennis nation

First time in my history where we seem to have an uninterrupted stream of top-200 level players on the men's side from Yuki to Ram to Sumit, and now Manish and then Terence.

At the same time, we also seem to have a less busy but continuous stream of players who really get into the tour in their mid-20s and do well with Som, Saketh and Prajnesh.

Yes and all this without any serious effort from the organisation (AITA) or any serious spurt in the interest in the game. Really hope like of Manish and Terence and few others follow Yuki/Ram/Sumit at least .
