Sood twins should have made use of this ITF series to bolster their rankings during the offseason.

Excellent interview, Vishnu. Nandini has now achieved her objective of the year of getting into rankings. She is now ranked #1001 in the latest updated WTA rankings. Hope she keeps rising up the rankings next year.

Mods, please dissolve this thread. It was an utterly poor performance from our players.

Sid Rawat lost 46 46 to Koepfer, so a futile trip to Bangkok for both Indians, who aren’t in the doubles draw either.

Sid qualified for the main draw. Since, there will be 3 Indian players- 2 singles and 1 in doubles in the main draw, I am opening a thread for this challenger instead of discussing in separate threads.

Wow, that is an interesting opponent (Rebecca Marino) who is making a come back after 5 years and is still only 27! Apparently, she battled depression on the tour which is a reminder that tennis can be quite a lonely sport especially when you are traveling without much support in the earlier stages of your career....

This week too both lost in first round.

At $15K ITF Women, Antalya, Turkey

[R1] Dhruthi TATACHAR VENUGOPAL (IND,721) l. Magdalena PANTUCKOVA (CZE,623) 26 36

[R1] (WC) Riya BHATIA (IND,609) l. (8) Oana Georgeta SIMION (ROU,495) 16 67(4)

So, 3 weeks for these 2 girls in Turkey and only 1 singles win among them. Forgettable trip for both.
