Re: Zeel Desai thread
Zeel is playing in a $15K ITF at Tunisia and is in the semifinals of the singles draw. In the SF, she’s up against the top seed Russian who is ranked #8 in the ITF circuit.

Re: Zeel Desai thread
Very good run by Zeel indeed. Zeel was returning to pretty good form in March where she reached final in Egypt. That was interrupted due to covid.
Now seems pretty much back top 350-400 level form where she should be considering the promise she showed in juniors. Good luck for the final.

Zeel lost 46 63 26 in the final. Still excellent run by Zeel in her first tournament in almost a year.

Re: Zeel Desai thread
This week, both Zeel and Vaidehi started with a good R1 win but unfortunately, Tunisia is canceling the ongoing and all the tournaments in the future due to surging COVID cases. This is unfortunate especially when 2 of our players are playing decently. I hope they both now focus on playing in Egypt or elsewhere.

Re: Zeel Desai thread
Yes, unfortunate for Zeel for this to happen just when she had started after a long time with a very good week. These are tough covid times. No tournaments in Asia and now tournaments in Tunisia also get cancelled. Our players may to have to cool their heels to get to play somewhere.
