ITF W25 Bengaluru,W15 Ahemedabad- Nov 20 - Dec 3, 2023
2 womens ITF tournaments being held concurrently with 2 mens tournaments in next 2 weeks-
Following Indians have made the main draw for W25 in Bengaluru-
Rutuja Bhosale (likely 3rd seed)
Vaidehi Chaudhari (likely 4th seed)
Pranjala Yadlapalli ( with PR)
Zeel Desai
Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty
Humera Baharmus
Smriti Bhasin
Vaishnavi Adkar
Tanisha Kashyap
Good to see Pranjala getting back after more than a year off due to injury. In the qualifying draw, there are only 3 foreign players in 32. So, most likely with 6-8 qualifers, 4 wild cards and 9 direct entrants, we should 19-21 Indian players in main draw of 32.
In second week At Ahmedabad, all the Indian except Rutuja will be there.

It is horrible to see that Sandepthi did not get a wildcard. To be the first one out in the entry list and to not get a wildcard in a home country event is just horrible, for one of our promising youngsters. At least the AITA wildcard should have gone to her. But to make matters more horrible, Sandeepthi went and lost to Kundali Majgaine in Q2 in an STB too. So we cannot blame people anymore.

Pooja Ingale eliminates one of the foreign players, while leading 4-1 in the first set, thanks to a retirement from her R1 opponent, Curovic.

3rd seed Rutuja, 4th seed Vaidehi, Shrivalli, Vaishnavi, Zeel, etc are in the R2. Pranjala's and Tanisha's R1 matches are later today.

Re: ITF W25 Bengaluru,W15 Ahemedabad- Nov 20 - Dec 3, 2023
^^^ No such luck for Sandeepthi
Pranjala plays Rutuja and Vaidehi plays Shrivalli, so we are assure of 2 in the QF. Zeel plays the top seed Abduraimova, Suhitha plays 2nd seed Tararudee, Pooja plays 5th seed Kulambayeva, and Vaishnavi plays the 8th seed Kovapitukted. Tough to expect more than 1 upset for us to have more than three in the QF.

Tanisha lost to the 5th seed but Pranjala won. Good to see Pranjala winning easily, 60 61 over qualifier Vanshita Panthania. 18 year old wildcard Suhitha Maruri beat qualifier Paavanii Pathak and made the R2. Including qualifier Pooja Ingale who basically got a first set walkover from Tamara Curovic (SRB), so we have 8 Indians in the second round.

R2 match-ups include Vaidehi vs Shrivalli (now on), Zeel Desai vs 1-Nigina Abduraimova, 3-Rutuja vs Pranjala. It's unfortunate that the highest-seeded Indian plays the Indian with the highest career-high in R2.

Shrivalli upset the 4th seed Vaidehi in a dandy of a match, 46 75 75... Vaishnavi is up a set and a break on the 8th seed. The much-awaited match between the close friends Rutuja and Pranjala is about to start.

Zeel beat the top seed 64 64 with a timely break in the final game!! So, we get 4 ladies in the QFs. Two of them (Vaishnavi and Shrivalli) meet, so at least one Indian will make the SF.

Excellent upset win by Zeel over a player ranked in top 250. I think career best wins both for her and 18 year old Vaishnavi.
One of Vaishnavi and Shrivalli have a great chance to go to SF and pick up a lot of points and raise their ranking quite a bit. Zeel and Rutuja also have winnable matches in QF.
