Ankita really getting hammered by Doi. Down 1-6, 2-5, she holds at love to make 1-6, 3-5.
The former world #30 will serve for the match.

Boy, was that a correct call. I wanted to disagree with you on her not even havving a chance, though I thought she would lose. But like you thought, she stood no chance in the match it seems.

Vaidehi too lost in straight sets.

[R2] Vaidehi Chaudhari (IND,522) l. (Q) Eri Shimizu (JPN,479) 46 36

Also only remaining doubles pair Ankita and Prarthana lost in doubles QF continuing a bad day for us.

Just saw that Sandeepti is not even listed for qualies for W40 next week in Bangalore. Perhaps her team did not expect her to do that well in those 2 tournaments and did not enter for a W40 tournament. Hope she is still given a wild card, so should Zeel Desai.

Karman is still in the entry list.

Yes, please hand SSRao a main draw wildcard and make Sahaja play qualifying. How do these tournaments organizers not apply common sense and publicly available data while making these decisions?

I guess Sahaja one at her home academy is ok. But, instead of Soha and Sowjanya the wild cards should have gone to Zeel and Sandeepti.

In Zeel’s case, it may be because her name doesn’t start with S. Looks like all our upcoming women players have names starting with S lately. :D

For next week's W40 at KSLTA, Bengaluru on outdoor hard courts, Ankita and Karman are in the main draw and should be seeds ( unless of course Karman withdraws at last moment like this week). Rutuja is just 1 out with 2 special exempts to clear. As I see only player who are among semi finalists this week, Nadine Keller (SUI) is likely for SE if she wins her SF today. So, Rutuja will get into main draw directly.

Than, there will be 4 wild cards- Vaidehi and Zeel should really get 2 of them, i am not sure if Sandeepti is coming down here if she gets a wild card, if yes she should get the third one, than 1 may be reserved for a local player which may be Sharmada.

Karman is out. AGAIN. I am over this! :damn:

Vaidehi, Sowjanya, Shrivalli are all in the QD. QWCs went to locals Pratibha & Pragathi Narayan Prasad, Kashish Bhatia, Soha Sadiq and Himaanshika Singh.

Sharmada, Sahaja, Zeel, and ??? must have gotten the main draw wildcards.

BLR W40 qualies have started. Live scores...

The abject losses have started again. Humera lost 36 36. Shrivalli is down 16 03 now... Sowjanya and Vaidehi matches come later.

Vaidehi Chaudhari had an easy win. The rest caved in easily in straight sets.

Well, Vaidehi got a 40 year old Junri Namigata who was right outside top-100 some 12 years ago, but hasn't been in top-500 for several years. I don't even know why she keeps playing. I saw the live stream of that match. She can hardly play. Has lost most of her power. She is a small-built player but now that she doesn't move like she used to, she is easy fodder. Vaidehi could just hit to the lines and she gave her no chance. Vaidehi played well, but that was easier when there was no pressure on her at any point in the match.
