Yes, Yuki is with DC team this week. So, Saketh chose to be there in Europe and try his hand with different partner this week.

Yes, after the high of Pune ATP final and Australian open, a bad loss for Balajeevan. Looks like coming down to challenger level did not enthuse them.

Next week, they have got into main draw of Montepellier ATP 250 main draw. Hope they get a win or two there to make it count.

RamK is also in the main draw there along with Philpp Oswald.

The third set tie break in doubles is always tricky. So no worries. BalaJeevan should move ahead

Arjun Kadhe/Daniel Masur lost the final 06 26 to a Ukrainian/Russian pairing. Surprising scorelines in the SF (in favour) and final (against). Arjun is 139 in the live rankings.

Divij (156) and Purav (152) have chosen to play in the Manama (Bahrain) Challenger rather than in Chennai.

The last time the Manama Challenger was held (2021), the singles title was won by Ramkumar Ramanathan :-)

^^^ Distant memories, though it was only about 16 months ago. That was the last time RamK did anything good in singles. He was about to drop a lot in the rankings then itself but did that just on time to extend things for a year. Finally those points dropped off late last year and he fell out of top 300 and is struggling to make challenger entries now.

Kiskut Open ATP Challenger 50, Szekesfehervar, Hungary - March 2023

Post by Dinesh »

Sumit made it to the singles qualifying entry list.
Aisam/Ramkumar, Purav/Divij in the doubles entry list. Perhaps Arjun will find a random partner to sign up on-site?

Tournament will be played on indoor clay.

P.S I have never heard of this city name before and I suppose this is the first time they are organizing a professional tennis event there.

Székesfehérvár, known colloquially as Fehérvár ("white castle"), is a city in central Hungary, and the country's ninth-largest city. It is the regional capital of Central Transdanubia, and the centre of Fejér County and Székesfehérvár District. The area is an important rail and road junction between Lake Balaton and Lake Velence.

So, it’s just White Castle in local language with a rich history. There are many cities named like this around the world.
