Heck, why not Paris? Maybe RamK or Yuki will go way up in doubles by then and could be ready to partner her (Bops may not stay at the top much longer; but then again, he is also not falling too fast or anything).

Re: US Open 2022
Jay: Bops is actually close to top-10 caliber in ATP Doubles now. You can reference ATP Live rankings for that. He has got his level back up this year. This is the best I have seen him play from the 3-4 yrs that I am watching Indian Tennis this close.

Re: US Open 2022
I think it's not about money for her. Her kid is very young so she wants to take care of him better. I watched her play in Cincinnati last year and she had her sister courtside taking care of her son along with some others.
She is still good enough for a few more years!
Our cupboard is bare anyway.

Re: US Open 2022
RamK gets broken at 3-4 and Kuzhuhara holds to take the first set 6-3. Kuzuhara is very quick around the court, RamK will have do something different to get back into this match.

Re: US Open 2022
RamK got broken right back and this time Kuzuhara served for the match after 1 deuce. He looked nervous but RamK could not take advantage, he was playing too passive on return games, I thought and not at his best on serve and volley.

Re: US Open 2022
Wow! Great job by Yuki. Sad that RamK falters at crucial times. He’s been in a slump for a while now. Don’t remember his results being so poor for this long in any phase of his career.

Re: US Open 2022
Terrific win for Yuki over the former world #39. He played quite superbly in parts, but mixed in with a few lousy points, e.g., when he was up 5-3 in the first set and played a really loose service game. But then at 5-all, he played a superb game, with a magnificent cross-court volley winner, and then a half-volley drop shot at 40-15 to make it 6-5. He then played really well to take a 5-0 lead in the TB, had a few hiccups but got over the line easily at 7-4.
In the second set, he was quickly down 0-2, broke back for 1-2 and then 2-2, broke at 3-3, but was broken back to make it 4-4. After that, Yuki was just superb. He didn't drop another point, to make it smoothly through to Q2. For a guy who hasn't played a singles match in 6 weeks to play this well, taking out world #107 (and 9th seed in the qualifiers) in straight sets is a huge achievement. That he had a practice match against the Wimbledon singles finalist yesterday was surely a bit of a help!

Re: US Open 2022
It is quite amazing that with so singles matches in last couple of month, Yuki wins against world #107 in straight sets here. Shows how much talent this guy has. Only if his body can held up.
