Re: French Open 2022
Bopanna-Middelkoop now have a pretty clear path to the final. They face Glasspool-Heliovaara in the QF, and the highest-seeded opponents in the SF would be 7-Venus/Puetz. Beating the second seeds has cleared the path to a potential Slam final.
The top half of the draw is much tougher, with 1-Ram/Salisbury playing Dodig/Krajicek next (QF), with the prospect of either 4-Granollers/Zeballos or 6-Koolhof/Skupski in the SF.

Re: French Open 2022
When we will have a junior player in the main draw of a junior grand slam? Do we have any youngsters in the ranks that have a chance in the near future? Can’t remember the last time we have gone this long without a single player in the junior draw of a grand slam.

Re: French Open 2022
Dev Javia played French open juniors main draw in 2020. After that I do not think anyone has played and that too was a rare. Generally there has been no top notch junior from India since Sumit-Karman-Pranjala batch which is about 6-7 years back.vparam wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 3:52 pm When we will have a junior player in the main draw of a junior grand slam? Hope Shruti Ahalawat is the next one to play junior slams hopefully at US open this year or if not Australian open next year. Hope few others join.

Rohan and Klepac lost too in second round. So, our challenge ends in mixed doubles.
Rohan and Matwe play their mens doubles QF today.

Remarkable achievement. Congratulations to Rohan Bopanna. This is the first Slam SF of Middelkoop's career too!

WOW! What a top-class couple of back-to-back wins..... Saving multiple match points in a tight match against the second seeded favorites and coming back from the bring again in the QF....

Re: French Open 2022
18 year old Coco Gauff has had a great day, making the singles SF (beating Sloane Stephens) and now the doubles QF. Pegula has a tougher QF coming up against Iga Swiatek.

Re: French Open 2022
That shanked overhead at the beginning of the STB had a lot of impact on the play and eventually the end result. Great match neverthless...
