In case of Sumit, all of those 4 wins against higher ranked players have been till mid May. After that, he has just lost his form in last 3 months or so. Hope he starts getting some wins too help stay at least close to top 200.

He will most likely from October. All those opponents from 160-230 who were bucketed as lower ranked would soon be categorised as higher rank, which will hopefully make him to go to the top in our chart and build some support. Lets see.

Hey, we support all of them, actually without too much of a distinction. We just whine a little less and criticise a little less when any of them win more, that's all. So Ankita gets less criticism than Prajnesh now. But not long ago, Prajnesh was getting very little criticism and Ram was getting it. Actually Ram gets criticism even when he wins, because we think he can win more. Right now there is whining about Sumit. I guess that's how it goes with us fans :)

Bopanna has a strong partner, and they are seeded, but he and Dodig face a tough hurdle first up:

[R1] 13-Rohan Bopanna/Ivan Dodig (IND/CRO) vs. Jordan Thompson/James Duckworth (AUS/AUS)

Rajeev Ram and Sania Mirza receive US Open mixed doubles wildcard. They are playing against Kevin Krawietz / Kveta Peschke in the first round.

They had also planned to pair up for the 2020 Australian Open, but Sania got injured. This could be a very strong pairing, possibly taking them all the way to the title. But R1 first!!

Yep, one match at a time. I wouldn’t go that far about their possibility to win the title. Their second round opponent will involve either one of the current top-doubles team of Dabrowski or Stefani (the notable Tokyo bronze medalist).

Divij makes it in the main draw as an alternate.

Faces a tough first though.

Divij and Kwon lost 3 & 4. But I’m glad Divij at least is getting paid something. Really hoping Ankita and Kateryna upset the seeded team. That match is supposed to start soon.

Check out the leg brace that Ankita's partner has got on. It is full length. Not sure how she can play with that on. Must be a bad injury but credit to her for giving it a go.

So she can't really play with that on. She can hardly walk. Poor Ankita is playing 2 on 1.

Was she wearing the brace the entire match?
