Wow, this is a good result ... The patience of the waiting game at Paris Masters helped Divij and Artem.

Excellent upset win by Divij and Artem. Last year this pair had some good results. So, they should not spilt at the start of the year. Good that they are back towards the end of the year and pulling off some good results.

Yeah. Patience helped them make $20K to share, for that win. Not bad at all. Looks like there was another ALT slot too, but no takers... Why wouldn't somebody just sign in for the $5000 each, I wonder! ... So Jeremy Chardy and Frabrice Martin of FRA end up with no match in the first round, and they face Divij/Sitak in the PQF. Advantage to our guys, as they have played a match on the court.

BopaShapo raised their games at the right times today to a win. Won three points in a row from 15-30 on the other guys' serve in the 10 game to take the first set. Our guys were behind at 2-4, but then went on a blitzkrieg where they gave very few points to the Europeans and broke them twice...

At the €5.79M Rolex Paris Masters 2019, France (carpet)

[R1] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Denis Shapovalov (CAN) d. Benoit Paire (FRA)/ Fernando Verdasco (ESP), 64 75

So,
[R2] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Denis Shapovalov (CAN) vs Maximo Gonzalez (ARG)/ Austin Krajicek (USA)
[R2] (ALT) Divij Sharan (IND)/ Artem Sitak (NZL) vs Jeremy Chardy (FRA)/ Fabrice Martin (FRA)

Quite a winnable R2 match for Bops & Shapo. I would give Sharan-Sitak duo a 50-50 chance against the experienced French pair. It will be awesome if both our teams can make it to R3.

Our guys never seemed to be in the match at all, right from the start. Under frequent pressure in their service games, and hardly taking a point off the French guys' serve. BopaShopa's match will be late at night, as Shopavolov's singles match is only about to start now.

At the Paris Masters, BopaShapo won in a romp. Good that Shapo didn't lose interest after his 3-set upset of the 6th seed Zverev to get to the singles QF also today.

[R2] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Denis Shapovalov (CAN) d. Maximo Gonzalez (ARG)/ Austin Krajicek (USA), 62 63
so,
[QF] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Denis Shapovalov (CAN) vs Karen Khachanov (RUS)/ Andrey Rublev (RUS)

A very tough loss for our guys in a close STB, after a big comeback and a tiebreaker win :( ... A chance lost, for some big points and money.

At the €5.79M Rolex Paris Masters 2019, France (carpet)

[QF] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Denis Shapovalov (CAN) l. Karen Khachanov (RUS)/ Andrey Rublev (RUS), 57 76(1) [8-10]
