Re: Pre-US Open Challengers, July-August 2018
A tough hold (4-5 break points saved) to preserve a break in set 2 and go up 3-1. Kokkinakis is trying to fight back and Prajnesh has to quell that. Kokkinakis looks like a player with a good serve and forehand but nothing more. So if his serve is not on, he should be easy to beat. (I know he has beaten Federer)

Bit loose from Prajnesh in the last few games and Kokk takes the second set 6-4 from 1-3 down.

It was on serve in the second set, but Prajnesh is broken for a second time in the set, and loses it 4-6, after winning the first set 6-4

At $100K Aptos Challenger 2018, California, USA
A single break in the sixth game of the third set is enough for Kokkinakis to win the set and match.

PG was set and up a break early in the second but unfortunately could not sustain.
Ultimately Karkhanis(a typical Maharastrian surname ) experience proved decisive.

Kokkinakis won his semis and finals quite easily so bit of a missed opportunity for Prajnesh by failing to close it out.

The Greek takeover of tennis is nigh? Kokkinakis is older but Tsitsipas and he look to be worthy successors to Sampras and Philippousis...(Kyrgios too is half-Greek).

Like Kyrgios , Tsitsipas is not a full Greek , with his mother being Russian , and all the sporting genes seem to coming from his mother side , as his mother was a WTA player, and his maternal grandfather was an Olympic medallist in Football while playing for the erstwhile Soviet Union.
And Tsitsipas seems to have strange liking to be attired in only Pink coloured T shirts.

This was in response to an earlier reference to Kyrgios been referred to having mixed ethnic parentage and that Tsitsipas has a similar background like Kyrgios when it comes to his parents ethnicity.

Except that Kyrgios was born and brought up in Australia and has a Malaysian-origin mother! Who cares about full Greek/half Greek. Just watch them play and enjoy! [is my policy.]
