Re: Women's $25K ITF - China/Thailand July 2018
Yes, but Karman has 30 points to defend this week ( in fact next week when this week's 25K points will be updated). So, even if she wins her next match, she will be around 215 in the rankings as on 23rd July. A title here can just about take her inside top 200.
Ankita too has 29 points to defend next week. So, based on results so far, she will be around 200 in the rankings, a title can take her inside 190.
So, if both Karman and Ankita can win titles this week both can be in top 200 in the rankings as on July 23.

Excellent work by Ankita to win a title here.
Karman's SF against the top seed has just started in China and Karman is serving at 1-2 in the first set.

Splendid 62 63 victory for Ankita in the final against a former world #70.
She will comfortably be back in the top-200 when these points are added on 23rd July.
Ankita should also take inspiration from her close losses to Evgeniya Rodina (who made R4 at Wimbledon) and Victoria Diatchenko (who beat Sharapova at Wimbledon). I really wish Ankita would play the US Open qualifiers rather than the Asian Games, but that seems too much to ask

Pranjala serve has nothing in it. It's a nothing serve. She will not beat anybody in singles. It's a lollypop.

Too much non-stop tennis and travel for Ankita, perhaps? And the fact that her fellow-Indian players probably know her game -- strengths and weaknesses -- quite well.

In Doubles
Rutuja is having a field day .
After winning her singles against Ankita in the morning, she combines with Pranjala and wins her doubles QF over a local Thai pair.
Now the Doubles Semi Final match involving Rutuja & Pranjala against the Top seeds is scheduled for later in the day today (as per the OOP).
Three matches in a day seems to be a stretch. Hope it is moved to tomorrow.
[QF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND) / Pranjala YADLAPALLI (IND) d. Chompoothip JUNDAKATE (THA) / Chanikam SILAKUL (THA) : 6-1, 6-3
[SF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND) / Pranjala YADLAPALLI (IND) vs. (1) Jia-Qi KANG (CHN) / Peangtarn PLIPEUCH (THA)
