His Instagram pic shows he is still in London (provided it's not an old pic, didn't look like an old one). So either not decided to travel or as pkb said he will only travel if he is in the main draw. A 1st round appearance in 250 ATP gives you around €6.5k. Not bad at all.

Looks like Yuki would have made the main draw at Antarkar but pulled out.
Would have wanted to be safe and not aggravate imjury with Wimbledon coming up.

Unfortunate decision, but the pragmatic one.

good decision, rather collect the R1 or R2 paycheck at the big W rather than risking his knee at Antalya...

I would say unfortunate anytime you have to miss a direct entry into an ATP main draw but pragmatic decision to try to get well for Wimbledon main draw...

It seems Divij will be playing with Artem Sitak in Wimbledon ... They r playing in Eastbourne and facing the top-seed Colombian pair.

[R1] Divij Sharan (IND)/ Artem Sitak vs (1) Juan Sebastian Cabal (COL)/ Robert Farah (COL)

I wonder if that means that Leander and Yuki will pair up at Wimbledon. Still no sign of Leander on the ATP tour (which effectively means he has skipped the grass and clay seasons -- with the possible exception of Wimbledon).

Yuki is pretty much taking a break at this point outside of W.
His next tournament is Atlanta which is end of July followed by Citi open in DC. He has a direct accept to both so can plan his stay well in advance.

Divij and Sitak could not get past the top seeds Cabal and Farah and lost in straight sets 4 and 4, with one break of serve in each set sealing their fate.
[R1] Divij Sharan (IND)/ Artem Sitak l. (1) Juan Sebastian Cabal (COL)/ Robert Farah (COL) : 4-6, 4-6

Re: ATP / WTA Grass tournaments 2018 (DenBosch/Stuttgart, Queens/Halle, Antalya, Newport)
I think it is more trying to recover from nagging injury. He is probably planning on playing Wimbledon for the money but the fact that he is skipping ATP main draw acceptances suggests he isn't really ready to play without aggravating whatever injury he is carrying. Hopefully, he can rest/rehab his way out of this rather than go to the 6 month inactive stints (leading to PR usage) he had to go through multiple times in the past.Sin Hombre wrote: ↑Sat Jun 23, 2018 6:09 pm Yuki is pretty much taking a break at this point outside of W.
