And Prajnesh sweeps the next five games (after saving a BP at 1-2) to win 64 62!

At $100K ITF Women's Tournament 2018, Manchester, Great Britain

[SF] (4) Luksika Kumkhum (THA)/ Prarthana Thombare (IND) bt Harriet Dart (GBR)/ Katy Dunne (GBR) 57 63 15-13

[F] (4) Luksika Kumkhum (THA)/ Prarthana Thombare (IND) d. (1) Naomi Broady (GBR)/ Asia Muhammad (USA) 76(5) 63

The biggest title of Prarthana's career, I believe. The grass is certainly greener for Indians!

Prajnesh seems to have conceded a walk-over to Hiroki Moriya. I hope any injury isn't serious... :-(

At Ilkley Ram the 6th seed takes on Austrian Sebastian Ofner. They have met each other on few occasions but not a match to be taken lighlty.
Ram leads 3-1 H2H with the last going Ofners way, but this would be the Austrian's first Grass match of the season.

Prajnesh if he qualifies would have to call up upon all his luck as amongst his  4 potential match up' s are either Top ,4th,5th Seeds, or a WC.

I was worried too, thankfully its not serious. A bit of strain and he intends to be careful with Wimbledon in sight.

After string of her first round losses Prarthana provided a stellar performance on the grass.

Tough luck for Prajnesh after really good win, but good decision of taking precautionary retirement before Wimbledon qualifying.

RamK is facing Austrian Ofner in the first round.
In the doubles, a tough draw as all top pairs r playing for getting used on the grass before big W ... The last week's finalist Jeevan-Krajicek r having winnable match ... Purav is playing with John-Patrick and they r having a tricky match against Reid and Polansky ... Bala and Vishnu r also having a tricky match against British pair.

At $150K Ilkley Trophy2018, Great Britain

[R1] (6) Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND,128) vs Sebastian Ofner (AUT,143)

Doubles
[R1] Austin Krajicek (USA)/ Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND) vs Hubert Hurkacz (POL)/ Evan King (USA)
[R1] (3) Purav Raja (IND)/ John-Patrick Smith (AUS) vs Peter Polansky (CAN)/ Matt Reid (AUS)
[R1] N. Sriram Balaji (IND)/ Vishnu Vardhan (IND) vs Luke Bambridge (GBR)/ Jonny O'Mara (GBR)

I too hope no serious injury scare for Prajnesh just at the time when he is shaping up so well.

Prajnesh says he'll be fine, which I take to mean that any injury/niggle was quite minor.

RamK lost in straight sets... gives him enough rest for the W qualies... :goodluck:

Surprise loss for Ramkumar. Perhaps he is feeling the points pressure from last year’s run in Antalya. But it may indeed be a blessing in disguise ahead of Wimbledon qualifying next week at Roehampton.

Making it into the main draw at Wimbledon will compensate fully for not being able to defend points at Antalya: from a career standpoint, nothing is more important than playing the Slams.
