Could not watch the first 2 sets ( just followed the scores). Just started watching and RamK breaks Jung to lead 2-1 in the third set, Jung double faulted on break point.

Ramkumar is the better player and grass is his best surface. He loveholds most of his service games. He should win this from here.

17 aces and just 3 double faults today by RamK. That is grass court stuff!... Make it Ace #18 to get a 40-30 match pt at 5-4... and he wins it

At the $150K+H Nottingham Trophy2018, Great Britain

[R1] (5) Ramkumar Ramanathan (IND,121) d. Jason Jung (TPE,151), 67(5) 75 64

Good win against a good grasscourt player who has won a hardcourt Challenger this year. RamK is a natural on grass!

Good stuff from RamK. A title here will take him near top 100. He has points to defend from Turkey QF so hopefully he goes far here.

Ram plays his Doubles match today against Jeevan, regardless of the outcome, it should be a good grass court workout.

R2 is going to be equally tough as R1, On paper it would like an easy match  either Qualifier or WC,  but unfortunately it won't be easy at it looks
In all likelihood it will be Tobais Kamke who faces the British wild card Jay Clarke. Now not only Kamke is a former top 100 (64) player, but has effortlesly won his 3 qualies matches all in straight sets and routing his opponents at times.

Prajnesh too could not get past him in this year AO Qualies R1, And the only time these two ( Ram & Kamke ) have met which was last year in which Tobias prevailed in 3 tough sets.

So definitely a match Ram has to be wary off and bring out his best game

Now that we are playing on grass, even Prarthana has ended her long losing streak :-) Nice to see, and also good to have Ankita gain some confidence with a doubles win.
