Manish has fought back, and it's 3-3 in the second set in the all-Indian semifinal.

Scores were frozen for a while. Now it is back on. Manish fights back and wins set 2 6-4 and just broke Nitin to take 2-1 lead. Top-seed David Sanz got knocked out by sixth seeded Ukranian Orlov ranked 863 in the other SF.

Manish/Mohit will also need to play their doubles SF shortly.
The winner will face a Thai pair who beat the Sood twins in the QF.

Manish is really beginning to come on. I expected this match to be easier, but the fact that he was able to come back after a lackadaisical start shows that he is gaining in experience too.

Yes, good consistency shown by him in this futures series reaching final in 2 of the 3 week and SF in the third one. Now, hope he can finish with a title here to crown it.

I think Nitin took a medical time out in the third set -- so he might have picked up a niggle or something. He played solid after the timeout but Manish did give him a chance at breaking back.

Manish's final is in the third set. 7-6(6) 0-6 2-1 (on serve) ... Not sure what happened to him the second set.
And Manish breaks Vladyslav in the 4th game. After Manish held, it is 4-1 now. One more break! Now Manish is serving for the match and his first pro title!... He serves it off at love, and there is is!!! Congrats, you man!
[F] (5) Manish SURESHKUMAR (IND,742) d. (6) Vladyslav ORLOV (UKR,863), 76(6) 06 61
With that, he has picked up 18 points, which gets added to 6 he had last week and should take his total from 29 to 51 after one week (he loses 2 points from the Sri Lanka futures last year). That will catapult him to around #590, and he should sneak into the top-10 list of guys in his age range (under 19). He will be top-10 in India too. I think we have got ourselves another player who is coming on quite strong now.

Heartiest congratulation to young Manish Sureshkumar for his first professional title ... So very productive three weeks for him; the finalist in the first week, the semi-finalist in the second and completed with his first future title in the third week ... Good going Manish.

Excellent work by Manish. Being in top 10 in the world in his age group is really great. Would love to follow what he can do in next 6 months. Should we have a thread for him now ?
