At the 25K HKG F2
KU takes on Kazuki Nishiwaki of Japan in the first round and should he win faces a uphill task against the Top seed Mavrick Banes in R2.
Siddharth Rawat opens up with an easy First round against qualifier and fellow countryman Armaan Bhatia , and the battle scared, old warhorse Ti Chen lurks in his half.
An interesting name in the main draw is that of Sumit Sarkar of USA who came through the qualifiers after being the Top Seed in qualies
A tall 19 year old lad , looked impressive when I saw him practice today with his coach, and more surprised to see a 1000 ranked player having a traveling Coach If only any of our guys could benefit having a travelling Coach. And has anyone of you know or heard about Sumit.

Re: Asian Men’s Futures, May-July 2018
Disappointing results for our Mens keep flowing like an uncontrollable oil slick since the past 2 weeks
At HKG , Siddarth bows out 3 sets , this after he swamped his opponent 6 love in the opening set. , Weather is playing a huge part, which explains for so many retirements in the opening round and it could be down to fatigue as he couldn't close out after taking the first set on love and he completes a disappointing journey to HKG.
KU for once he showed flashes of his past and was well and truly on his way to cause huge major upset of the Top seed and after breaking the top seed early in the deciding set , maintained it perfectly till 5-4 and was ready to serve out the set and match , To rub salt on his wounds he even had a match point serving at 5-4 , 40-30 in the decider , but just gave it all away for a heartbreaking loss , 6-4 , 1-6 , 6-7 (7), and it was down to nerves and unable to register a famous win.
