Rutuja could not continue her good run though and lost in the SF to the local girl.

At $25K ITF Women,Wuhan,China

[SF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND,445) l. Yue YUAN (CHN,403) 46 46

First set was close and Rutuja seemed to be the dominant player as she forcing breakpoints on Yuan serve in the first couple of games. However, she got broken at 2-2 after a couple of bad line calls and games went with serve after that.

In the second set, the Chinese girl appeared to be more pumped up and generally playing better although Rutuja kept fighting. It did seem that mentally she was still a bit disturbed by those bad line calls in first set which virtually cost her the set.

Anyway, good run by her which should take her to top 400. I had seen her play last year when she won the Thailand futures title and there does seem to be perceptible improvement in almost all the aspects of her game and she appears on right track to take more steps in the future.
