Govind Nanda also lost his R2 boys singles match in 3 sets, after winning the first set.

I thought we had hashed this topic pretty good, about 5 years ago!!jayakris wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 1:55 pmChess is not a sport. Just a game. And shorter/speedier guys are often better at two spots in top sports - point guard in basketball and libero in volleyball.Saniapower wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 11:25 amThere is no place for short people in modern tennis (or most other sports except chess game).

Re: Wimbledon 2018
Wow, I was just reminded of that thread. I wanted to write my definition of sports as a paper soomewhere. I think I had all the arguments needed and it was pretty detailed but concise. I completely forgot about it though. Need to find what journal to write it in....kujo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 9:09 pmI thought we had hashed this topic pretty good, about 5 years ago!!

Hey shorter speedier guys do pretty well in soccer as well. Neymar and Messi are quite short and are among the top megastars in that sport. The top US player, Pulisic, is also quite short.

Re: Wimbledon 2018
Jay, point guards in basketball are over 6 feet at the international level or the NBA. So, they are relatively short and not that short. So, we will not have another Michael Chang? Is it become all power?
We are going off topic. Maybe a kind moderator will move the few posts above this to a general sports thread or something like that.
