So, is Prajnesh's match against experience Kamke who is good on grass. In fact Sumit's opponent is the weakest in terms of grass experience and results but Sumit himself has not played on grass at all and is in bad form.

So, I would all 3 matches in tough category and will be happy if we get 2 out of 3 wins.
Winning matches in the qualifying rounds of a Slam is inherently difficult. Everybody is playing at their best, and all players are of broadly similar ability, which is why they are there.
Bolelli has made R3 at Wimbledon 3 times (including in 2014), and made R2 last year too, so he can certainly play on grass. He was ranked as high as 36 in singles. But he is now 32+ (turning 33 in October), so he is clearly on the wane -- which is why his singles ranking is down to 151. RamK has to be the favourite to win this match today.
Similarly, Kamke made R3 at Wimbledon in 2010, and he did beat Prajnesh at the AO this January. But Kamke too turned 32 last month. Prajnesh is, as we know, a completely different player since that epic Davis Cup triumph; he won the Anning (Kunming) Challenger, he basically qualified into the FO, he has beaten Denis Shapovalov on grass just a couple of weeks ago. Prajnesh, to my mind, is the hot favourite to win against Kamke today.

Sumit lost the first set 2-6. And has been broken in the first game of the second set. So a rapid downhill slide, losing 5 games in a row.

Sumit thrashed 26 06.
I really don't understand what he has been doing since the start of this year. Seems to have completely wasted the momentum he had at the end of last year.

There is no place for short people in modern tennis (or most other sports except chess game). Being tall is a big advantage.

Sumit isn't all that short. He is 5' 10'', a couple of inches taller than Richard Gasquet, who has had a pretty decent pro career. Schwartzman, who made the FO and USO quarterfinal is 3 inches shorter than Sumit.

4 nil now
if he is playing the same way as Stuttgart, camped on the baseline, than there is no way he can win.
Kamke on the other hand surely know when to change gears and modify himself

Chess is not a sport. Just a game. And shorter/speedier guys are often better at two spots in top sports - point guard in basketball and libero in volleyball.

Prajnesh is broken, then Kamke holds, 3-3 in the second set.
After several deuces, it is 1-6, 4-3.
Kamke holds at 30. 4-4 second set.
Prajnesh is broken at 30. 4-5 :-(

And it's all over for Prajnesh, 1-6, 4-6

Terrible day for us so far. I hope Ramkumar rises to the occasion, and storms through the next 3 matches!

When I saw Kamke , my worst fears came true and hardly a surprising result, it was premature to label him an all court based on just one win.
Hard Courts and Clay courts seem to be his forte.Even though he fought in the second set it was too big a ask
Looking forward to Ram and the Doubles guys saving the Day

I'm a huge fan of Prajnesh, but it needs to be kept in mind that Stuttgart was his first ever grass tournament. While he has played well thus far, he's played a clay court game on grass court. This was always going to be a challenge against someone like Kamke. Hopefully he improves his grass court game enough and does well next year.
