One match at a time for Yuki. I'll take a first GS MD win with no clay tournaments as a stupendous achievement.

Elias Ymer can't be considered as a top European talent anymore. He has stagnated at this level for a few years now and is a generally solid player with no clear spikes in his game.

Yes, streaming there on betting sites. Check the link which I had posted a few pages back in this thread for his earlier match.

Anyway, Prajnesh is down a set 3-6 and an early break in second set.

Saw a few games in first set and Prajnesh is missing a lot compared to his earlier match. Nerves playing a key match ?

Prajnesh breaks back and now it is on serve at 3-2 in the second set.

Very disappointing loss.

#Ymer def. #Gunneswaran 6-3 6-4 and reaches the main draw.. The Swede hit only 2 forehand winners on the way to victory..

4 Lucky Loser spots available for now. How will they draw lots from the 16 Q3 losers? Will Prajnesh get a chance?

Sad, especially because Prajnesh seemed to have succumbed to nerves in a crucial match. But perhaps Ymer was simply playing better and more consistently on the day.

No chance of a LL spot since those go to the 4 best ranked losers.

The older Ymer is a solid grinder and Prajnesh probably hasn't played many of those. Still, kudos to him for rescuing an otherwise dismal FO qualifying campaign.

I think prajnesh could have beaten ymer in straight sets if he was playing close to his level in anning

Nowadays they make a draw from LL spots+2. So, in this case they will draw 4 out top 6 best ranked losers. But, Prajnesh is not among top 6 best ranked losers too. So, unlikely for LL spot unless there are more withdrawals.

I watched only part of first set. But, from what I saw it was a mix of Prajnesh not playing to his level as in Anning Challenger and first 2 rounds here and Ymer playing solid grinding tennis and getting more balls back which frustrated Prajnesh.

The French Open website is useless. Does anyone know whether Yuki's R1 match is tomorrow (Sunday)?

He wont play tomorrow from what I heard. Likely Tuesday but hopefully its Monday. Appears bottom half matches only tomorrow. Did not verify directly with RG folks, so maybe wrong.
