Good couple of wins for Rutuja here and another one will take her to a career best rank.

Rutuja and Pranjala also produced a great upset in doubles defeating 2nd seeds Lykina/Webley-Smith in the QF.

Rutuja will not need another win to get to career high. She has no points to defend till June and has earned 9 points from this week. So, she will get to just inside top 500 as of now. Of course, hoping that she will go further here. QF will not be as easy as it looks. 17 year old Sofya Lansere is currently ranked #26 in ITF juniors and reached junior Wimbledon SF last year.

In mens futures, Saki moved thru comfortably to the QF.

At $25K Uzbekistan F2 futures, Karshi

[R2] Saketh MYNENI (IND,530) d. Vladimir IVANOV (EST,651) 63 64

Next,

[SF] Saketh MYNENI (IND,530) vs. Evgeny TYURNEV (RUS,366)

21 year old Tyurnev reached the final last week and has won 3 futures titles in last 6 months. So, it will be another test for Saki to see how far his game is back on track.

Rutuja is in the semifinals with an easy win.

[QF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND,533) d Sofya LANSERE (RUS,639) 7-6 (4) 6-0

Her opponent in the SF is an eighteen year old Russian who beat the top seed in R1.

[SF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND,533) vs Anastasia GASANOVA (RUS, 435)

Another very good win by Rutuja over a talented junior player.

Rutuja will get to around 455 when these points are updated next week and move close to India #3 spot which is occupied by Pranjala right now. Pranjala herself will move up to around 440 with her this week's points. A win in next match will take Rutuja ahead of Pranjala as India #3.

Up next for Saki is 19 year old Uzbek Jurabek Karimov who upset the top seed Japanese Hiroki Moriya in reaching the Semis.

Not an easy match considering Saki is not 100% to his playing level plus the 19 year old taking out the experienced Japanese adds to the uncertainty.

Rutuja is in the entry list of a $25K in Tbilisi, Georgia next week. I wonder if she will take the trip (11+h flight) just for one week.

Saketh and VSP have entered the doubles final. They are the third seeds and easily beat the second seeds in the semi final.

Pranjala and Rutuja lost in the doubles semi final.

So, we have 3 matches tomorrow.

At $25K Uzbekistan F2 futures, Karshi

[SF] Saketh MYNENI (IND,530) vs. Jurabek KARIMOV (UZB,521)
[F] (3) Saketh MYNENI / N. Vijay Sundar PRASHANTH (IND) vs. Konstantin KRAVCHUK / Roman SAFIULLIN (RUS)

At $25K ITF Women, Karshi, Uzbekistan

[SF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND,533) vs Anastasia GASANOVA (RUS,435)

Rutuja lost her SF match.

At $25K ITF Women, Karshi, Uzbekistan

[SF] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND,533) l. Anastasia GASANOVA (RUS,435) 57 36

Still a good run by Rutuja , the best in her career at this level.

In mens SF, Saki is tied 1 set all against Karimov. After losing the first set 67(3), Saki won the second set 76(5).

And Saketh wins the third set to move thru to the final. I think he saved a match point in the second set.

At $25K Uzbekistan F2 futures, Karshi

[SF] Saketh MYNENI (IND,530) d. Jurabek KARIMOV (UZB,521) 67(3) 76(5) 63

Next,

[F] Saketh MYNENI (IND,530) vs. (7) Yaraslav SHYLA (BLR,440)

Shyla defeated second seed Kravchuk in the SF.

Doubles final to be played later today.

Surprisingly tight matches for Saketh here, although he is probably fatigued from playing so many singles and doubles matches this week after a long injury lay-off.
Great to see him in both finals though -- and in pole position to pick up double crowns!

Hope Saki wins the singles title tomorrow.

Winning the title here is worth 27 points (less than a semifinal in a $50K Challenger). For making the final, Saketh has earned 15 points -- which is what a QF in a 50K Challenger is worth. In a $125K+H Challenger, you get 25 points for making the QF.
Prajnesh has earned 45 points for making the SF in the Anning ($150K+H) Challenger, while Mukund earned 30 points for qualifying in and making the QF (more than the 27 Saki could earn by winning the title in Uzbekistan).

Saketh needs to be able to transition back to Challengers super quick!

Good to see Saki fight through! These are useful points and practice for him to be ready to consistently win at the challenger level.

Saki just needs matches under his belt. Points will come eventually if he is fit. So I would not be bothered about him playing 25K challengers at this point.
