Both Saketh and VSP withdrew from this week's futures. It must have been hard for Saketh to travel and reach her in time from Taiwan where played doubles final on Sunday. Not sure why VSP withdrew. They are both still appearing in next week's entry list.

So, only Sid Rawat in the main draw and Shahbaz Khan came thru qualifying but both lost in first round. :-(

At $25K Uzbekistan F1 futures, Karshi

[R1] Sidharth RAWAT (IND,506) l. Manuel PENA LOPEZ, (ARG,623) 36 67(4)

[R1] (Q) Shahbaaz KHAN (IND,1836) l. (6) Yaraslav SHYLA (BLR,444) 26 26

Terrible result for Rawat but I hope VSP and Saketh make it to next week. We can also discuss women's ITF results in this thread as Pranjala and Rutuja made it to the MD entry list at the Karshi Challenger next week.

Good opportunity for Pranjala to cause a big upset, and pick up a shot-in-the-arm win over an Asian icon. Agkul was ranked as high as 50 a decade ago, but she is now nearly 34 years old -- and surely someone that a rising Pranjala can upset!

Disappointed to see Sid and VSP lose in the men's R1. But nice job by Saketh, who should comfortably win the title there this week.

Akgul has been playing since Sania's time xD. Last year Karman had defeated her, and surely Pranjala can defeat her too.

Akgul was never a good mover. Hope Pranjala makes her run around the court -- that should be the recipe to be Akgul (says the armchair coach).

Akgul won the first set 6-2 and briefly went up 2-0 in the second set after breaking Pranjala. Pranjala fought back and has broken Akgul to get back the break. Pranjala serving at 2-1 in the second set.
