Great win for Abhinav. Hope he carries his form to the QF match as well so that we are guaranteed an Indian finalist. Arjun beating the Spaniard might be a tough ask.

Excellent to see Abhinav upset the second seed (who partnered Sumit to the Wimbledon junior title). And great to see Manish Sureshkumar continuing to advance with another good win.

Excellent from Manish who moves up to #21 amongst players 18 or younger (#2 amongst Asians). Hopefully he can continue to progress at this rate.

Too bad, Abhinav could not follow up his upset with another win. He lost to a player currently ranked lower than him.

Looking forward to an all-Indian final. I think Arjun can turn the tables on Boluda-Perkiss this week, even if it is on clay!

Re: $15K India F1-F4 futures, Feb/March 2018
Lets hope so. Arjun lost to him tamely in the final 2 weeks back, came very close to beating him last week in QF. Hope he is third time lucky.
These are the doubles SF results -
[SF] [1] Caio Silva (BRA)/Thales Turini (BRA) d. [4] Goran Markovic (SRB)/Manuel Pena Lopez (ARG) 3-6 6-3 [12-10]
[SF] [2] Arjun Khade (IND)/Vijay Sundar Prashanth (IND) d. Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash (IND)/Manish Sureshkumar (IND) 6-3 6-3
Arjun and VSP are in their fourth straight final. They lost in the final of first week and won the title in the last 2 weeks.
Hope they do well tomorrow in singles and doubles.
Yes, Turini is lower ranked now but he has been ranked in top 300 earlier. He seems to be concentrating on doubles these days and is ranked in top 350 there. So, he will be better than his current singles ranking of 1054 but still was a beatable opponent by Abhinav considering Abhinav's upset win over second seeded Taiwanese yesterday.

Re: $15K India F1-F4 futures, Feb/March 2018
Yes, of course Vietnamese. My mistake.
Arjun keeps missing opportunities against Boluda-Purkiss. He was up 4-1 in the first set but lost 5 straight games to lose the first set 4-6. He had a few game points chances serving at 4-2 and a few break point chances too at 4-3 but missed them all.
VSP has taken the first set 7-5 against the Brazilian Turini.

Excellent win by Arjun over a top 300 Spaniard on clay.
Arjun is racking up points in this futures circuit which will help him move up to challenger level soon. Nothing against VSP but I will root for Arjun in the final being a younger guy with more upside potential. And root for both in doubles final later today.

Yessss, a terrific win against top 300 Spanish opponent on clay, that also after two losses in last two weeks ... Way to go Arjun.
