Wow, Saniapower never seems to amaze me. His/her eyes are not connected to his/her brain? So now, I know he or she is an alien. :p More seriously, I love SP's pic. Please please please, don't delete it :-) Life gets too boring if things get too predictable and prim and proper. I always do not agree with SP and sometimes the trolling annoys me a bit. But his/her content is not total nonsense. A lot of comments have an interesting POV behind it even though it may be exaggerated to make the point. So, he/she is not a garden-variety troll. Let him/her play his/her natural game on the forum.

Lee lifted his first title of 2018 season, with James Cerretani, that's also on the challenger tour ... Salute to Lee's motivation for playing and winning the challenger at 45 ... They defeated Treat Huey and Danis Kudla in the straight sets ... More importantly, this win gives him 125 ranking points.

At $150K+H Newport Beach Challenger 2018, USA

Doubles Final
(2) Leander Paes (IND)/ James Cerretani (USA) bt Treat Huey (PHI)/ Denis Kudla (USA) 64 75

Leander now #47 in men's doubles, two slots behind Divij (who is at a career-high of 45).

This is almost equivalent to an atp title. Big win. Congrats Leander & James. There was never any doubt considering the class and form Paes has shown in the Aussie Open.

Yes, Huey/Kudla were an ATP-level team. Beating them so comfortably was excellent.

Too tough a R1 match for Jeevan/Rungkat at the Challenger level.

Strange that Leander has picked yet another new partner. Salisbury is ranked 100, Cerretani is ranked 77. The only thing going for Salisbury is his age (25, while Cerretani is 36). Still doesn't make sense to switch away from someone he has just won a Challenger with.

Is something up with the LP-Purav pair? Otherwise, this seems to be simply pairing up with whoever is available on a week-to-week basis rather than changing a successful pairing with Cerretani. That is, it's just as likely that Cerretani may have previously committed to his partner for this week than LP switching away from him after winning a challenger.

OTOH, if the LP-Purav pair is breaking up, then it would make sense to play longer with Cerretani given their one-off success last week.

It is very strange that Purav isn't travelling and playing with Leander. Unless Purav has decided he doesn't want to play Challengers any more.

But, these are big challengers next only to ATP tour events. So, Purav should play these at least until he gets into top 50. Last week was understandable coming immediately after AO. But, I thought he would play this week.

For the coming season it is unlikely we will be having a steady partnership's amongst our top 100 ranked doubles players , as many other factors will come up for final consideration.

Jeevan and Chris scored a superb comeback win over a strong pairing of Cerretani and Pavic ... After losing the first set easily, they fought back to win the second set tie-break and kept momentum for winning the match tie-break.

At $125K Dallas Challenger 2018, Texas, USA

[R1] (4) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) bt James Cerretani (USA)/ Ante Pavic (CRO) 16 76(5) 10-7

I watched the first set, they played pretty badly since the start. So glad they were able to turn the tables and get this good win
