Yes, nice and easy wins by both.
At $15K China F3 Futures, Anning (Clay)
[R1] (Q) Nitin Kumar SINHA (IND,1444) d. (WC) Ruixuan WANG (CHN,1522) 62 64
[R1] (6) Arjun KADHE (IND,610) d. (Q) Alberto LIM (PHI,1373) 62 63
Next,
[R2] (Q) Nitin Kumar SINHA (IND,1444) vs. (Q) Huixin WANG (CHN,1543)
[R2] Manish SURESHKUMAR (IND,1033) vs. (4) Steven DIEZ (CAN,312)
[R2] (6) Arjun KADHE (IND,610) vs. (Q) Rhett PURCELL (NZL,1162)
Manish has a very tough match. Nitin plays a fellow qualifier from China. But, he upset the top seeded Korean Duck Hee Lee here in R1 and reached the final in the first week. So, it won't be easy for Nitin either.

Nitin makes a perfect start breaking the Chinese giant killer twice to pocket the first set 6-2 , Arjun also looking good and up a double break against the NewZealand qualifier and serving for the first set at 5-2

Nitin beat the Chinese guy who made the final 2 weeks back and beat top 200 player Duckhee Lee yesterday. Impressive performance.
Clay is his favorite surface and he told me that he played extremely well today. Hope he can win 3 more rounds here. One match at a time though!

Re: $15K China F1/F2/F3 futures, Anning (Clay), Jan 2018
Nice dominating win by Nitin to make the QF in second consecutive week.
[R2] (Q) Nitin Kumar SINHA (IND,1444) d. (Q) Huixin WANG (CHN,1543) 62 63
Good to know that clay is his favourite surface. Hope he gets an opportunity to get training somewhere in Europe to hone his skills on the surface ( as Sumit got at an early age).
After dominating early, Arjun is being given some good fight by the New Zealand qualifier. After Arjun winning the first set 6-4, it is 4-4 in the second set.

Arjun lost the second set but came back strongly to dominate the third set.
[R2] (6) Arjun KADHE (IND,610) d. (Q) Rhett PURCELL (NZL,1162) 64 67(5) 61
Manish Sureshkumar has taken the first set 61 against third seed Diez. Can he pull off a big upset ?

18 yr old 1033rd ranked Manish Sureshkumar creates the biggest upset knocking out experienced challenger level player Steven Diez 6-1 , 6-4 ,
This would surely be on par in comparison with upsets made by Ram & Yuki over Thiem & Monfils.

Arjun and Manish play each other in the QF and the winner of this match will play the winner of Nitin vs 7th seed Kuan-Yi Lee (TPE). So if Nitin causes an upset, we will be guaranteed an Indian finalist.

Re: $15K China F1/F2/F3 futures, Anning (Clay), Jan 2018
Very impressive win by Manish
I am guessing he is supported by Kirti and TNTA.
Since I like these comparisons,
Manish is now 18y5m and just broke into the top 1000
Ram won his first futures title weeks after turning 19, broke into the top 1000 early at 16y8m but then was still lingering around 800 at Manish's current age
Sumit was a bit better breaking into the top 1000 at 17y10m after winning his first futures title and was ranked ~425 at the same age as Manish now.
So he definitely sounds like a serious prospect but as things stand, his career trajectory is of someone who would max out at 250-300.
That said, it is very few datapoints to make a projection and a win here would make me revisit that quite quickly so while I think Arjun is an interesting player as well, I am going to be rooting for the teenager tomorrow.

Sensational stuff from Manish and Nitin, our 18 year olds!! Suddenly we have a breakthrough among the next generation. The benefits of playing together as a national trio abroad clearly showing through here.

True, it is way too early for us to be speculating anything about Manish based only on this win. It is possible that Diez might not have been fully fit or totally off his game today. Lets see how he fares against Arjun tomorrow and in the next few months. I think he has played much lower number of matches compared to what RamK and Sumit had done at his age. So, he may in fact be better than 250-300 ranking potential that we can project based on his current ranking.Sin Hombre wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:26 am

We have been lamenting about lack of talent coming thru the junior ranks post Sumit's emergence. At least there is ray of hope now with performances of Manish and Nitin this week. Hopefully Adil Kalyanpur will eventually benefit from his training at Rafa Nadal Acedemy and a couple of others ( Siddhant Banthia/ Vikash Singh) fulfil the early ( but not consistent ) promise shown by them and then we have a nice pipeline coming thru in mens singles after the Yuki/RamK/Sumit trio.

Arjun has taken the first set 6-4 against but Manish bounced back well to take the second set 6-3 after a double break and now it is one set all .
May the best man win , it is nice to see a healthy rivalry amongst the second tier
