Karman will get a double bagel from this Ankita. She will not win double digit points either.

Apparently, everyone's been talking about the slowness of the courts.

It may explain how Jakupovic upset Carol Zhao who is in the form of her life.

The draw is being kind to Ankita, feeding her one unseeded player after another. I will try to attend the QFs!

I watched the end of First set and the second set at the venue today.

Ankita was hitting winners all the way. Her opponent was trying to slow the pace but Ankita was up to it. Excellent win.

I didn't watch Ankita's match, but what a run by her!! I guess nobody has a doubt now, about who the real #1 in India is. Karman may get there some day, but has some ways to go.

Yes, in live rankings, Ankita is now 277 ahead of Karman at 288 with 20 points lead for Ankita. Also Karman has more points defend in next couple of months than Ankita. So, it looks like Ankita has a pretty good chance of retaining this # 1 spot for next few months now.

Great to see the India #1 take full advantage of the home tournament. Given the form she is in, the QF should be an easy win too. Go Ankita!!
