Re: Australian Open 2018
LeePu are down 1-6 - the first set is gone - eminently forgettable. Lets hope they pick up in the second. Im now getting the feed on espn.
2nd set
1-0 Lee starts serve holds at love with some good serving and delectable volleys from both guys.
1-1 Cabal/Farah hold at 1-1 - returns not great from LeePu
2-1 Raja serving gets into a hole at 30-40 pulls out with a second serve ace. 2 doubles in this game - missing many first serves. very poor doubles play by both - they better pick up - 7 deuces this game. Clearly crucial. Somehow holds after a lot of difficulty.
2-2 Cabal/Farah serving much better -much more consistent on serves and returns. LeePu retreat to baseline and lobbing -wont work at this level - 4 first serves in - 4 put away volleys - kicking some serious ass here.
2-3 Paes serving - Cabal/Farah retreat to baseline but perfect reads on purav's stop volleys - 30-all return finds Raja completely at sea at net. 30-40 trouble once again - that's it - broken. Difficult to climb out of this hole unless LeePu really step it up.
2-4 Oops I lost my feed but Cabal/Farah hold to lead 4-2. This is getting difficult. LeePu are not playing at the level they must have played in their earlier match.
2-5 Purav serving - broken again at 15. He is missing way too many first serves and they cant win his serve games. Its that simple.
6-2 and its over....
Cabal/Farah d Lee/Raja - 6-1, 6-2.
Clearly LeePu were not at the level of the previous match.

Re: Australian Open 2018
Yes, clearly the intensity of yesterday's match was missing. Unfortunate that that they had to play a match within 24 hours while our other pairs have had a 2 days break. Both of them could not lift them up physically and emotionally it seems.

Re: Australian Open 2018
Akanksha lost the first set 67(2). Good fight so far against a top 20 player. Akanksha appears to have decent ground strokes on both flanks but the Taiwaese girl really looks powerful and is hammering her serves and ground strokes.

Re: Australian Open 2018
I’ll be bold enough to say that the winner of the Ram/Sharan vs Kubot/Melo will get to the final.
Re: Australian Open 2018
Match started - RamSharan start off with an easy 1-0 hold.
This looks much more interesting - I am going to watch this closely...cant do play by play at the same time.
Will do a review after the match.
